The á la carte restaurant overlooks the hotel gardens and offers a more elegant style of dining and service for that special occasion. A selection of fresh local seafood and charcoal grill specialities are served, complemented by a carefully chosen selection of wines from around the world. Imaginative vegetarian dishes are always available and Wayford Bridge are pleased to cater for those guests requiring special diets.

Alternatively, the bistro fronts onto the patio and offers a more informal style with attractive views of the river. The menu is very comprehensive and features a wide range of interesting and reasonably priced dishes together with a daily speciality list.

Most of the rooms offer bath and shower. Each is also equipped with a range of convenient facilities. Most of the rooms are river facing and are arranged on both ground floor and 1st floor levels.

The hotel can offer a variety of amenities on site to guests including bicycle, rowing boat and fishing tackle hire. Coarse fishing in season, on the River Ant is also available. For those visitors wishing to explore the Broads, the hotel is just upriver from Barton Broad where Nelson is reputed to have learnt to sail. Day launches can be hired from Urwins boatyard and Moonfleet Marine.

Horsey Wind Pump (15 km / 9.5 miles) - Horsey is a restored drainage wind pump that affords striking views across Horsey Mere, one of the Norfolk Broads. The Mere is particularly well known for its wild fowl. There is also access to the beach at Horsey Gap and a circular walk.

City of Norwich Aviation Museum (20 km / 12.5 miles) - featuring aircraft and other exhibits detailing Norfolk's rich aviation history. The collection features a Vulcan bomber and some of the civil and military aircraft that have flown in the area.

Blickling Hall (24 km / 15 miles) - one of East Anglia's greatest houses, dating back from the early 17th century with fine collections of furniture, pictures and tapestries.

Travel information

By Car:
From Norwich:
- From the ring road, take the A1151 signed for Wroxham.
- Keep on this road, following signs for Great Yarmouth. The hotel is approximately 8 km (5 miles) past Wroxham on the left.

From the A11 (avoiding Norwich):
- Upon approaching Norwich, take the A47 signed for Great Yarmouth.
- Follow until your reach a roundabout at Acle.
- Take the A1064 for 3.2 km / 2 miles.
- Turn left onto the B1152 and follow until you reach the junction with the A149 at Repps.
- Follow signs for North Walsham and Stalham.
- The hotel is approximately 2 km (1.5 miles) past Stalham on the right.

Disabled Facilities:
The hotel has been carefully adapted for those guests with mobility problems to provide access throughout the ground floor areas. 5 bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, one of which has been designed for wheelchair use. These can be requested, subject to availability.
